The v30.5.0 miner cannot connect to the node on Windows and exits after a minute (issue #19). The first release candidate for v30.5.1 initialises Winsock before connecting, which fixes it. It also tells an RPC timeout apart from an unreachable node, and updates the documentation. It is a pre-release; Linux and macOS users can stay on v30.5.0.
